I created this trading discipline toolkit after realizing how often my worst trades came from moments without structure. I would enter based on “feeling”, without a written reason or clear risk. Once I began forcing myself to answer a short list of questions before every trade – and tracking the answers afterwards – my behavior changed. Less impulse, more clarity. These tools are not here to limit you, but to keep you precise when market noise tries to pull you off your plan.
Toolkit FAQ
What is the Samurai Trader Toolkit for?
The Toolkit is designed to turn trading discipline into something concrete. It gives you checklists, templates and prompts so you always know what to do before, during and after a trade. Instead of relying on memory or mood, you can rely on a clear structure.
Do these tools work with any trading strategy?
Yes. The Toolkit is strategy-agnostic. Whether you trade stocks, indices, FX or crypto, the tools focus on behavior, risk and process. You define your own setups and rules – the Toolkit helps you apply them consistently.
How does the Toolkit help with risk management?
The templates encourage you to define risk before you enter the trade. You record your stop level, position size, ATR or volatility context, and the maximum loss you are willing to accept. This makes it harder to “wing it” and easier to respect your limits once the trade is live.
Is the Toolkit only about journaling, or also about execution?
Both. There are tools for pre-market preparation and execution checklists, and tools for post-trade review. The goal is not to create more paperwork, but to make each decision easier: you know what you are looking for, why you take the trade, and how you will review it afterwards.
How does this fit with The Path, the Dojo and the e-book?
The Path explains the overall journey, the Dojo is where you practise daily, and the e-book gives you the full framework. The Toolkit is the practical layer that ties it all together – it is what you use on your screen while you trade.
Use the tools inside the Dojo
